Аннотация
Длительное время руководство Узбекистана придерживалось социально-экономической модели с ориентацией на импортозамещающую индустриализацию и постепенной либерализацией финансовой сферы. Вследствие этого подхода взаимодействие страны с Международным валютным фондом (МВФ) и другими международными финансовыми организации было ограничено рядом вопросов, по которым видение узбекского руководства совпадало с представлениями экспертов этих институтов о путях развития национальной экономики республики. Однако, как только Правительство Республики Узбекистан согласилось провести рекомендуемые ему бреттон-вудскими институтами реформы, для страны стали открываться возможности углубления интеграции в мировую экономику.
