Only 20 cases of Merkel cell vulvar carcinoma and 1 case of Merkel cell vagina cancer were described in the literature. Diagnostics must include immunohistochemical analysis, as expression of cytokeratine 20 proves to be the most typical factor. Polyomavirus infection is believed to be associated with the disease pathogenesis. No treatment standards were accepted due to the rarity of the disease. Considering the data on tumor radiosensitivity, the treatment must include radio- or chemoradiotherapy.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Статья посвящена вопросам диагностики и лечения рака из клеток Меркеля, крайне редкой опухоли, характеризующейся агрессивым течением и неблагоприятным прогнозом. В литературе описано около 20 случаев рака вульвы с фенотипом клеток Меркеля и 1 случай рака влагалища аналогичного строения. Диагностика заболевания должна включать проведение иммуногистохимического исследования, характерным является экспрессия цитокератина 20. Предполагается, что патогенез заболевания связан с носительством полиомавируса. В связи с редкостью заболевания отсутствуют единые стандарты лечения.
