The Department of Oncology and Clinical Morphology at Bashkir State Medical University, established in 1975, has been actively engaged in educational, scientific, and clinical activities for over 50 years. The department's primary focus lies in training high-level specialists and implementing modern methods for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of oncological diseases. Under the guidance of the department's staff, over 150 PhD and 20 doctoral dissertations have been completed, more than 2000 scientific papers have been published, and over 100 patents, including international ones, have been obtained. In the realm of education, the department has developed and published teaching materials widely used in medical universities across Russia and beyond, with a total circulation exceeding several thousand copies. The department actively collaborates with leading international scientific and educational centers, facilitating fundamental research and experience exchange. Innovative technologies are integrated into modern clinical platforms, enabling the effective combination of scientific advancements with practical healthcare. The department prioritizes advancements in diagnostics, the development of personalized approaches to treatment, and the prevention of oncological diseases. Key research areas include studying the biological profile of tumors, preclinical cancer prevention ("cancer without tumors"), improving diagnostic methods, and increasing access to personalized therapies. The department's mission is to integrate scientific achievements into clinical practice and to prepare specialists equipped to address pressing challenges in modern oncology.
